June 2005 - Electrical Systems Test

In recent months we have released several orders from customers involved in manufacture and test of Electrical Systems. The products range from Switchgear to Transport Communication Modules.

We have supplied chambers from all areas of our product portfolio, including our top end Series 3 range and bespoke Test Room solutions. One such installation required the suply of 2 off Test Rooms to compliment an existing TAS facility the customer had been using for several years. These 18m³ machines have a temperature range of -40 to +85 and a ramp rate capability of 2C / minute.

The heating and cooling systems certainly pack a punch, able to maintain the persofmance profile with 400 kgf payload. Additionally a propietary TAS humidity control system is utilised to ensure that Relative Humidity levels are controlled to less than 40% at certain points during the test profile.

This performance coupled with programmer I/O to provide control of the customers UUT (Unit Under Test) adds up to a full featured test solution designed and built specifically to meet the customers requirements. Details of this installation, and a six monthly report will appear in the next addition of Enviro News, our quarterly news letter
