June 2005 - Automotive Facility put to the test

Last year we briefly told you about the TAS Test Chamber recently installed at Unipart Eberspacher. This machine has a temperature capability of -40 to +110 and was designed with the future requirements for vibration testing in mind.

Originally used for temperature cycling tests, the 12m chamber has now been put through its paces combining temperature and vibration profile.

Uniquely the vibration equipment is housed inside the Test Chamber within an insulated enclosure and features a TAS Tufnol thermal barrier and silicone flexible gasket system.
